The practice encourages each patient to choose his/her own doctor. All doctors in this practice are committed to ongoing medical education to ensure the most up to date treatment is available to our patients.
Springbank Medical Centre is a General Practice located in Burton. The practice offers a range of medical services including Allied Heath and visiting specialists to residents of Burton and surrounding areas.
The practice was established in August 2008.
The practice is located within a Springbank Plaza Shopping Centre and is accessible from either of two entrances, one at the rear of the building and one through the pharmacy next door. The practice is open seven days per week.
Springbank Medical Centre currently has 5 GPs, 5 Receptionists, 1 FT Practice Manager and 2 PT Practice Nurses. The clinic also has a Dietician, Podiatrist, a Mental Health Clinician and Physiotherapist.
Special interests of the practice include Paediatrics, Women’s Health, Men’s Health, and Mental Health.

Information: Dr Rakesh Mohindra is a very experienced general practitioner with over 30 years experience. Dr Mohindra does not bulk bill patients.

Name: Dr Abdullah Al Jobair
Qualifications: MBBS FRACGP
Information: Dr Abdullah Al Jobair graduated from Chittagong University, Bangladesh in 1992. He migrated to Australia in 2003 and commenced his professional career as resident house officer at Royal Brisbane Hospital in 2003. He worked as a non vocational registrar in A & E for two years in Rockhampton Hospital before he moved to Naracoorte, SA in 2008, where he started his career as a general practitioner. He completed his fellowship at RACGP in 2015. His main interest is chronic disease management especially hypertension, diabetes, pain management, skin procedures and mental health disorders. In the near future he will do special training in cosmetic medicine.
Name: Dr Jay Seneviratne (GP Registrar)
Qualifications: MBBS
Information: Dr Jay Seneviratne is currently enrolled in the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) Program. The AGPT Program is the main training doctors undertake to become specialist general practitioners in Australia. GP Registrars are highly skilled doctors supported by a team of very experienced supervisors and medical educators.
