At Springbank Medical Centre our experienced doctors and staff treat our  patients with professionalism, dignity and respect. All our doctors undertake  continuing medical education and are vocationally registered with the Royal  Australian College of General Practitioners.

Our doctors have varied areas of individual special interests and provide a wide  range of general practice services in a relaxed, friendly and welcoming  environment.

All doctors working at Springbank Medical Centre, other than our Registrars, are  Independent Contractors. They each have their own registered business and

ABN. This means that they have autonomy over the choices they make when  treating you, billing you and the times and days and hours they work.

OUR DOCTORS DO NOT PRESCRIBE DRUGS OF DEPENDENCE OR ADHD  MEDICATION.

Our receptionists are very important support staff, they keep the practice running  smoothly. Alfred is our Office Supervisor and Fu is our Practice Manager.

The surgery has a fully equipped , spacious treatment room staffed by our  registered nurses, Beverley, Caroline, Claudine. The nurses assist with many  procedures such as antenatal care, health monitoring and immunisations.

All staff have extensive experience in a medical environment and are committed to  providing you with the best care. Please feel free to contact them should you have  any questions regarding the medical centre or the doctors.

As part of our commitment to the profession of General Practice, our Clinic is  helping to train the doctors of the future. GP registrars are qualified doctors who  are completing additional training in the specialty of General Practice, in the same  way that doctors undertake training in other medical specialties such as  orthopaedics or cardiology.

Most Registrars also have experience in our city and rural hospitals, and as one of  our valued clinicians, can provide a wide range of services to our patients. Springbank Medical Centre is accredited with Royal College of Australian GPs as a  training practice for GP Registrars

Accredited RACGP Supervisor

Dr Norah Chidothe has undertaken specific training to become an Accredited  Registrar Supervisor. Together with the other doctors at Springbank Medical Centre  she provides mentoring, education and training to our Registrars.

The Springbank Medical Centre’s Doctors are accredited teachers with the Flinders  University Medical School and University of Adelaide Medical School. Each year we  host Medical students from both medical schools.

During their time here, students get to experience the day to day work of a General  Practitioner. This includes participating in consulting, doing procedural skills,  observing obstetric care and working on clinical research projects.

When you check in with reception at the front desk, and there is a student rostered  with the GP that you are seeing, you will be asked if it is okay for the medical student  to attend your consult. Please advise reception if you do not wish for a student to be  present.
